Caspase-1 activity and IL-1β production in response to M. leprae lysate (MLL) in macrophages from A/J and C57BL/6 mice. Macrophages (10⁶) from C57BL/6 and A/J mice were treated with LPS (100 ng/ml) and the cell lysates of M. leprae (1 μg/ml) for 18 h, and supernatants and cell lysates were assayed for IL-1β concentrations and for caspase-1 activity, respectively.
