PEP005 inhibits apoptosis in resting peripheral blood naive and effector memory CD8⁺ T cells ex vivo. Resting human peripheral blood CD8⁺ T cells were sorted according to their expression of CD45RA and CCR7. Ex vivo sorted CD8⁺ T cells were cultured in serum-free medium in the presence/absence (-ve) of PEP005, and levels of apoptosis were analyzed by intracellular staining of active caspase-3 on day 7.
