Overview of disease induction protocols. Glomerulonephritis was induced by using two protocols. In protocol A, LPS or control was given at the time of immunization with sheep IgG in aluminum hydroxide. In the second protocol, our aim was to have no effect on the immune response to sheep IgG, and LPS was given after NTS injection. The protocols are described in detail in Materials and Methods.
