Summary of the standardized path estimates from tests of statistical mediation. In separate regression models, frustration/anger (FA) was tested as a mediator of approach/positive anticipation (AP) → aggression, and AP as a mediator of FA → aggression. Standardized regression coefficients for the prediction of aggression are shown prior to/following inclusion of statistical mediator (e.g., .34/.14), separately for the SECCYD sample and WRRP sub-samples 1 and 2. Within each sample, the path coefficient between AP and FA was the same regardless of which variable was being tested as the mediator, so only one number is shown.
