Note. The free-recall false implication variable was coded as 1 = yes and 0 = no to reflect whether the child implied in her or his final interview narrative that the man was present when the child played. The direct question resistance variable was coded to reflect the direct question number to which the child’s answer implied that the man was present when the child played; responses ranged from 1 (child indicated interacting with the man in response to the first question) to 17 (child never indicated having interacted with the man).
