A 20% glucose solution (2 g/kg of body weight) was administered to the rats by gavage, after a 15 h fasting. Blood samples were collected before and at 30, 60 and 120 minutes after glucose administration. The results were analyzed by the calculated areas under the curves of serum glucose.
