Performance of our software on a training data set of two artificial manually drawn fiber images of (A) sparser fibers and (B) denser fibers, in which just a few more lines representing fibers were added to image A. The software correctly detected (C) the shift toward a denser fiber distribution as well as (D) the increase in fiber volume in image B compared with that in image A.
