Microsomes expressing wild type or mutant 4Gi-46/47 were treated with 1 mm F⁻ plus 50 μm Be²⁺ or Al³⁺ in 0.01 or 10 mm CaCl₂ without Mg²⁺ and Mn²⁺ and otherwise as in Fig. 3, A and C. The samples were then diluted 10-fold and phosphorylated with 10 μm [γ-³²P]ATP, and the amount of EP was determined as in Fig. 3, A and C.
