AA indicates homozygosity for the non-risk allele A, AB indicates heterozygosity, and BB indicates homozygosity for the risk allele B (effective allele in Table 2). Four controls and 1 obese case were excluded from the analyses for SNPs not on the Affymetrix array, because they were among 8 samples not imputed for genotypes.
