Reconstructed images of a three-object CT contrast phantom (a) before and (b) after the correction for a cupping artifact using the standard method (described in the text). The results were obtained using the 40 mm thick segmented CsI detector with low density septal walls. The orientation of the objects in the phantom is the same as that in Fig. 2(b). Note that the same window level was selected for both images.
