A & G: adjusting for age and gender; A, G & BMI: adjusting for age, gender, and BMI; A, G & Vit D: adjusting for age, gender, and 25-hydroxyvitamin D; Full: fully adjusted model accounting for age, gender, C-reactive protein, cholesterol medication, albumin creatinine ratio, ACE-inhibitor (ACE_ARB), height, smoking history, HDL-cholesterol, systolic blood pressure, triglycerides level, BMI, and 25-hydroxyvitamin D; 1st PC: first principal component computed using the correlation matrix between all the adipose tissue measures. Prevalence ratios are given for an effect size of one standard deviation for each variable. The standard deviations are the values given in parentheses in Table 2 under the column labeled “All”. Significant P values are shown in boldface.
