Purified NK cells are solely responsible for IFNγ production in response to Lm-infected BMDC. (A) NWNA were isolated as in Fig. 1 and sorted into three populations: NK1.1+CD3 (NK), CD3+NK1.1 (T), and CD3NK1.1 (other), each population >90% pure. (B) Sorted NK cells produce IFNγ in response to co-culture with wt Lm-infected BMDC. T cells or other cells alone do not produce IFNγ. Addition of either of the other sorted populations does not enhance IFNγ production in co-cultures.
