Effects of PA on the blue light-dependent phosphorylation of phototropins. Levels of phosphorylation (top) and the amounts (bottom) of V. faba phototropin (Vfphot) in response to blue light (BL) in the presence or absence (Control) of PA are shown. Vfphot was obtained by immunoprecipitation from 200 μg of ³²P-labeled guard cell protoplasts 1 min after the blue light pulse. Other experimental conditions were the same as in Figure 4A.
