TGF-β1 induces NET1 expression in ARPE-19 cells. A, TGF-β1 induces NET1 transcription. Serum-starved ARPE-19 cells were treated with 10 ng/ml TGF-β1 for 0–4 h. After treatment, total RNA was isolated, reverse-transcribed, and amplified by PCR. β-Actin was evaluated as a loading control. B, TGF-β1 induces NET1 protein. Serum-starved ARPE-19 cells were treated with 10 ng/ml TGF-β1 for 0–24 h. Cell lysates were analyzed by Western blotting using a NET1-specific antibody. C, TGF-β1 attenuates cytoplasmic localization of NET1 in ARPE-19 cells. Serum-starved ARPE-19 cells were treated with 10 ng/ml TGF-β1 for 0–6 h.
