Manual therapy definitions

Manipulation	A brief, shallow, sudden carefully administered thrust (high velocity in nature)
Mechanically assisted manipulation	Manipulation performed through the assistance of devices (drop tables or portable drop piece units) or instruments (Activator instruments) being non-cavitational but high velocity in intent
Mobilisation	When a joint is passively moved within its normal range of motion (usually a slow oscillatory movement)
