Schematic of the four recombinant fusion proteins used in this study. All constructs have an N-terminal hexahistidine tag (Histag). The green fluorescent protein (GFP) contains the S65T mutation for increased fluorescence. The TAT amino acid sequence is NGYGRKKRRQRRRG. The p50 DNA binding domain is derived from the NF-κB p50 transcription factor. A 4 glycine linker was inserted between the p50 and GFP domains.
