All samples were tested with universal influenza A16 and influenza B17 screening assay. Influenza A/H1N1/2009 specimens were detected using the quantitative dual-gene assay, including 100 cases that were confirmed with CDC/WHO method (http://www.who.int/csr/resources/publications/swineflu/CDCrealtimeRTPCRprotocol_20090428.pdf, last accessed April 29, 2009).
