Adult animals were given 125I, and, at indicated time intervals, the radioactivity was determined in their thyroid glands by counting in vivo and in serum samples (see Methods). Results of thyroidal radioactivity are expressed as percent of the maximal 125I uptake, being 100% at 8 hours (A).
