Physiologic and behavioral responses to oxotremorine in C57BL/6J, BALB/cByJ, and CXB recombinant inbred mice. Body temperature, heart rate, tremor, and salivation were assessed at 30 min after intraperitoneal injection of 0.1 mg/kg oxotremorine (C57BL/6J, n = 6; BALB/cByJ, n = 6; CXB2, n = 5; CXB3, n = 6; CXB5, n = 5; CXB6, n = 10; CXB9, n = 10; CXB12, n = 7). Tremor was assessed as: 0, no tremor; 1, intermittent head and body tremor; or 2, nearly continuous whole-body tremor. Salivation was assessed as: 0, none; 1, mild; 2, moderate; or 3, severe. For all panels, data are presented as mean ± SEM (bars).
