Geometric means and geometric standard deviations for liquidator groups with daily monitoring.
| Liquidator group | Daily exposurea (R) |

|---|---|---|---|
| 1986 | 1987–1988b | 1989–1990b | |
| Military, prior to 21 May 1986 | 1.6 (2.6) | ||
| Militaryc | 0.8 (2.6) | 0.32 (2.58) | 0.23 (2.58) |
| AC-605 staffc | 0.45 (2.6) | 0.18 (2.6) | |
| ChNPP staffd | 0.08 (2.9) | 0.016 (2.9) | 0.016 (2.9) |
Geometric mean (GM); geometric standard deviation (GSD) is given in parentheses.
Geometric means for 1987–1990 were scaled from those found for each group in 1986 according to the ratios of permissible dose limits that applied in different years. The GSDs, which were based on empirical results for each group in 1986, were assumed to be the same during the later periods.
The permissible dose limit for the military liquidators and the staff of AC-605 was 250 mSv for the period from 26 April 1986 to 28 February 1987, 100 mSv for the period from 1 March 1987 to 31 December 1988, and 70 mSv during 1989 and 1990.
The permissible dose limit for the ChNPP staff was 250 mSv in 1986 and 50 mSv during 1987–1990.
