WTE induces Caspase 3 activation in A549 cells. WTE (containing 5 μg/ml of EGCG) induces apoptosis in A549 cells via caspase 3 activation. Inhibition of 15-LOX with NGDA and PPAR-γ with PPAR-γ ShRNA (Fig. 6A) both abrogated WTE-induced activation of caspase 3.
