No positive staining for GFAP were observed in the spinal cord tissues collected from sham-operated mice (a). A significant presence of GFAP positive cells was found in the spinal cord, from SCI operated mice at the perilesional area 24 h after injury (b). Notably, a significant reduction of GFAP positive cells was observed in the tissue collected from olprinone-treated mice (c). This figure is representative of at least 3 experiments performed on different experimental days.
