Effect of Indicated Treatments on ADP:ATP Ratios in WT or RG Cells

Cells were incubated for 1 hr (except metformin, 16 hr) with the indicated agent at concentrations used in Figure 4. Contents of ATP and ADP in perchloric acid extracts were estimated using capillary electrophoresis and are expressed as a ratio. Results are mean ± SD (n = 16 for controls; n = 2 for all others). Means that are significantly different by one-way ANOVA from controls performed at the same time without treatment are indicated: ^∗p < 0.05, ^∗∗p < 0.01, ^∗∗∗p < 0.001.
