Reactivity of immune plasmas to V1 or V3 peptides. Luminex technology was used to assess the presence of anti-V1 or anti-V3 antibodies in immune sera, as discussed in detail in Materials and Methods. In each case the signals recorded with plasma collected before the initiation of immunizations and sera collected at 2 weeks following the last recombinant Env immunization are shown. Pooled plasmas from each group were evaluated at a single dilution (1:20). The group code name and the immunogen used are shown at the top of each panel.
