C, the number of mammary gland tumors was determined for each mouse at sacrifice, and the averages were plotted for NDL and NxN mice. The error bars represent standard errors of seven to nine mice. D, the total volume of all mammary tumors for each mouse was determined at sacrifice, and that number was divided by the age at sacrifice to control for tumor growth with time.
