Overview of the RosR regulon. Under reducing conditions, RosR is active and binds to the 18-bp sequence motifs present in the target promoters (indicated as boxes); the numbers show the distance to the TSS (black arrow). Under oxidizing conditions, RosR is inactivated, causing the derepression of the repressed genes and loss of narKGHJI activation.
