ANG9-4 inhibits Ang1-mediated endothelial cell survival. Apoptosis was induced in HUVECs by serum starvation in the presence of TNFα (50 ng/ml), and cells were treated with or without Ang1 (2 nM) in the presence of the indicated molar excess of ANG9-4 (9-4) or a scrambled control aptamer (scr).
