Quantification of microarray hybridization results. RNRspBs was folded in (A) 140Na/80HEPES/10Mg, (B) 135K/25Na/50HEPES/10Mg, and (C) 135K/25Na/50HEPES/1MNa buffers and hybridized to an isoenergetic microarray at 4 °C for 24 h. Probe binding strength is represented by normalized intensity: normalized intensity = (average intensity − background intensity)/(average intensity − background intensity)probe 17, where average intensity is the average of three spots of the same probe. Probes with normalized intensities that are more than one-third of the maximum normalized intensity (red line) are strong binding. Probes with normalized intensities between one-third and one-ninth of the maximum normalized intensity (green line) are intermediate binding. Probes with normalized intensities that are less than one-ninth of the maximum normalized intensity are weak or no binding.
