Fluorescent microscopy following immunohistochemistry revealed that the hESCs labeled under the optimized conditions expressed the hESC cell-specific surface antigens, including SSEA-3, SSEA-4, TRA-1-60, and TRA-1-81, and did not express SSEA-1.
