Circular dichroism denaturation curves of the PPARγ LBD show that ligand binding stabilizes the LBD to thermal denaturation. This effect is greater with tight binding ligands such as farglitazar. Note that the covalently bound oxo fatty acids stabilize more strongly than the non-covalently bound fatty acids. Molar ellipticity was monitored at 222 nm. The melting curves were fitted using PRISM.
