There was an error in the Materials and Methods section that has caused some readers problems in reproducing the SIMPLE method. Specifically, on page 900, right column, in the subsection: AEC Destaining and Antibody Stripping:
“Following rehydration, antibodies were eluted by incubating sections in 0.15 M KMnO4/0.01 M H2SO4 solution for 2 min, followed immediately by a distilled water wash (Tramu et al. 1978).”
“0.15 M KMnO4” is incorrect. It should be: “0.15 mM KMnO4”.
