VCOM/BOS is the COM velocity in the anteroposterior direction, normalized as a dimensionless fraction of the square root of the acceleration due to gravity times the height of the subject. XCOM/BOS is the position of the COM in the anteroposterior direction, expressed relative to the forward heel and normalized to foot length; a more negative value indicates a more posterior COM relative to the forward heel (BOS).
