Astrocytes regulate pro-inflammatory cytokine expression in neutrophils. Neutrophils were isolated with magnetic Dynabeads followed by co-culture with resting astrocytes in the presence or absence of LPS for 2 hr. Neutrophils were separated from astrocytes using magnetic isolation again. Q-PCR was applied to detect mRNA levels of corresponding cytokines.
