Peroxynitrite enhances potassium channel currents. Whole-cell potassium currents were obtained from cortical neurons following 180 min exposure to vehicle (n=4), or peroxynitrite (100 μM, n=6). Current amplitudes were normalized to cell capacitance. Potassium currents were evoked with a series of voltage step to +35 mV from a holding potential of −70 mV.
