The ARPE-19 cells growing in monolayer were transiently transfected with wt IGFBP5-prom or mut-IGFBP5-prom reporter constructs. After 24 h post transfection, the cells were treated with 1 µM 4HPR for additional 72 h before measuring luciferase activity. Relative luciferase activity is expressed as the ratio of firefly/Renilla luciferase activities. The values are mean ± SD, n = 4. *P < 0.001 compared with control.
