MSH2 missense mutations alter DNA mismatch repair activity in vivo. Mismatch repair was monitored in wild-type and mutant MSH2 expressing cell lines transfected with a heteroduplex plasmid encoding EGFP with a premature stop codon and RFP as a transfection control.
