Northern blot analysis of expression of six clones (A8, A34, A39, B3, B45 and B46) obtained from the cDNA subtraction libraries. RNA was extracted from kidneys of NT and bGH females at 2, 5, and 12 months of age and probed with DIG-labeled clones. Representative blots of two different samples for each genotype and age are shown. The same RNA samples were used for the four blots in the top section (the samples for A34 were loaded in a different order; the panels were rearranged such that all samples align; the white gaps mark the rearrangements) and the same RNA samples were used for the two blots in the bottom section, though some of the samples differed between the top and bottom sections. Ethidium-bromide stained images of the 28S and 18S rRNA bands served as loading controls (bottom panel of each section).
