Figure 5

Variable β-DG nuclear trafficking in cancer cells. A) Fractionation of 184A1, MCF10A, MDA-MB-231, BT549, MDA-MB-436, MDA-MB-157, MDA-MB-435, MCF7, BT474, T47D, SKBR3, CAMA1, ZR-75-1 and MDA-MB-134 cell lines. The cells chosen have either luminal or basal phenotypes (19). The same membrane was incubated with the IIH6 antibody (detecting glycosylated α-DG) or β-DG, β1 integrin and lamin B1 antibodies. B) Nuclear β-DG levels of the same cell lines normalized to total β-DG expression levels. C) Immunoblots of fractionated MEpG-C7 cells expressing an empty viral vector (vec), wtDG or mucin deletion (ΔM) mutant. The same membrane was probed with β-DG, β1 integrin and lamin B1 antibodies.
