Chromatogram of acetylcholine in mouse ventral striatum. A 2-mm probe was used, dialysis flow rate was 0.7 μl/min. The aCSF included 30 nM neostigmine. The injection volume was 12 μl. The HPLC system included a choline oxidase/catalase precolumn IMER and an acetylcholinesterase/choline oxidase postcolumn IMER. The electrode is a wired peroxidase glassy carbon electrode operating at +100 mV in the reduction mode. The number above the Ach peak is the dialysate concentration (nM) estimated from the external standard curve.
