InlC impairs the proinflammatory response in vitro. RAW264.7 cells were infected with Listeria monocytogenes WT, the ΔinlC mutant, or the complemented ΔinlC mutant (ΔinlC + inlC) (MOI10), and levels of IL-6 and TNF-α in the supernatant were measured by ELISA at the indicated times points.
