Note: All scores are reported as standard scores. Intelligence was measured on developmentally appropriate measures, such as the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children–Third Edition (WISC-III; Wechsler, 1992), Kaufman Assessment Battery for Children (K-ABC; Kaufman & Kaufman, 1983), and Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale–Third Edition (WAIS-III; Wechsler, 1997). FSIQ = full-scale intelligence quotient; VIQ = verbal intelligence quotient; NVIQ = nonverbal intelligence quotient; Vineland = Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scales (Sparrow, Balla, & Cicchetti, 1984); CASL = Comprehensive Assessment of Spoken Language (Carrow-Woolfolk, 1999).
