Initial reactive rates (IR) were determined by testing normal blood donors from the United States in singlicate. Initial reactives were retested in duplicate; specimens with a mean S/N ratio > 5.0 or greater were considered to represent repeat reactives (RR). Two of the five P. vivax MSP1-p19 repeat reactives were positive by the Lab 21 Healthcare antibody ELISA.
