The yeast species subjected to pyrosequencing in the current study (organism column) are given, together with known synonyms (teleomorphs [TE]) and the list of key species (identified in BLASTN searches of the EMBL database) that show 100% nucleotide similarity over the target organism ITS2 signature sequence.
