Expression of (A) TNF-α and (B) IL-6 were assessed using pre-developed assays for real-time PCR according to the manufacturer’s instructions (Applied Biosystems). Values were calculated using a comparative CT method and presented as mean ± SEM of at least 4 observations/group. Statistical analysis was performed using two-way ANOVA and Tukey’s multiple comparisons test. *p< 0.05 versus diet-matched controls; #p< 0.05 compared to corresponding CD-fed mice treated with CCl₄. Data without a common letter are statistically different.
