Figure 5. — (A) K6001 and K6001-B7 have similar growth in galactose (upper panel), but K6001 stagnates at a lower biomass in glucose media (lower panel). (B) Lifespan assay by micromanipulation. Daughter cells from K6001 and K6001-B7 were continuously removed by micormanipulation and counted (upper panel) and analyzed statistically (lower panel). The shortened lifespan of K6001-B7 in both glucose and galactose media was tested statistically significant using Mantel-Cox, Breslow as well as Tarone/Ware statistics.
