Recovery coefficients for the mean value of 15 and 10 mm spheres in the tumor heterogeneity phantom. Recovery coefficients are presented for the original PET image and the SV-PVC image, indicated by a dotted and solid lines with no symbols, respectively. SINV-PVC is shown using a range of kernel widths and number of iterations indicated by line type and symbol type, respectively. Contrasts between the Cu-64 filled spheres and F-18 background ranged from 0.15 to 4.0. A flat recovery coefficient response to changing contrast is ideal for this phantom, as opposed to a value of 1 due to the zero activity of the 1 mm thick sphere wall.
