The stability of ectopically expressed Bmal1 is not significantly affected by superinfection with wild-type virus. Vero cells transfected with the plasmid encoding HA–Bmal1 were infected with HSV-1(F) and/or treated with MG132, as above. The cells were harvested 4 h or 9 h after infection.
