Systolic function indicated by left ventricular end-systolic pressure (LVESP), left ventricular developed pressure (LVDP), and the maximum derivative of left ventricular pressure (+dP/dt). Diastolic function indicated by left ventricular end-diastolic pressure (LVEDP), minimum derivative of left ventricular pressure (−dP/dt), and the rate constant tau. All values expressed as means ± SE.
