The Lost City contig has putative homologs in two distinct regions of the T. crunogena genome separated by 161 kb. Amino acid identities and alignment lengths (as calculated by blastp) are shown. T. crunogena ORFs Tcr_0189 and Tcr_0352 each appear to be fusions of two Lost City ORFs. The three Lost City ORFs shaded gray are more similar to proteins from other bacteria including Methylophaga and Marinobacter and are in reverse orientation with respect to nearby ORFs.
