To investigate whether receptor-mediated stimulation can induce apoptosis of mIgE-expressing B cells in vitro, mIgE expressing cell line K46 was stimulated with mAbA9. Appearance of apoptotic cell populations was assessed in a time dependent (a–c) fashion using a CaspACE FITC-VAD-FMK apoptosis assay. Unstimulated cells after 24 h served as control (d).
